THE AUTOPEN PRESIDENCY
BIDEN'S DEMENTIA AND THE GREATEST COVER-UP IN AMERICAN POLITICAL HISTORY
For years, the American public watched as Joe Biden stumbled through speeches, forgot names, and wandered off stage. All the while, a chorus of media voices and Democratic officials insisted he had "never been sharper." Now, as the curtain falls on the Biden era, the truth is finally emerging about what may be the most extensive political cover-up in American history.
The latest chapter in this unfolding saga came on May 18, 2025, when Biden was suddenly diagnosed with "aggressive prostate cancer." The timing could not have been more convenient, coming just two days before the release of a bombshell book detailing his cognitive decline and just days after damning audio recordings revealed his inability to recall basic facts about his own life.
This article examines the mounting evidence of a years-long deception, the use of an autopen to maintain the illusion of presidential authority, and the coordinated efforts to hide Biden's deteriorating condition from the American public.
The Convenient Cancer Diagnosis
"Biden was under constant medical surveillance by the most sophisticated medical team on earth, and after all the lies we were told about his health, we're supposed to believe they just plum didn't notice he had cancer that metastasized to the bone until now? Come. On." These words from Sean Davis capture the skepticism shared by millions of Americans regarding the timing of Biden's cancer announcement.
The diagnosis conveniently arrived at a moment when the administration faced a perfect storm of revelations about Biden's mental fitness. On May 16, 2025, audio recordings of Biden's interviews with Special Counsel Robert Hur were released, confirming what Hur had written in his February report: Biden presented as "a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory."
The recordings revealed Biden struggling to recall when his son Beau died, when he left office as vice president, and even what year Donald Trump was elected president. Long, uncomfortable pauses punctuated his responses, with the tick-tock of a grandfather clock audibly marking the seconds as Biden searched for words.
Just days later, CNN's Jake Tapper and Axios' Alex Thompson were set to release their book "Original Sin: President Biden's Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again," detailing how Biden's team systematically concealed his deteriorating condition from the American public.
The cancer announcement achieved its intended effect. As Democratic strategist David Axelrod quickly suggested, conversations about Biden's mental acuity "should be more muted and set aside for now as he's struggling through this." The message was clear: criticizing a man with cancer is off-limits, regardless of the legitimate questions about his fitness to have served as Commander-in-Chief.
The Hur Recordings: Confirmation of Cognitive Collapse
The Hur recordings provided undeniable evidence of what many had suspected for years. Throughout the five-plus hours of interviews conducted in October 2023, Biden demonstrated significant memory lapses, slurred words, and required his attorneys to remind him of basic facts about his own life.
"This is personal," Biden said about his book "Promise Me, Dad," before long pauses interrupted his train of thought. His attorneys had to remind him that his son Beau died in 2015 and that Trump was elected in 2016.
When questioned about classified documents found in his possession, Biden repeatedly claimed he couldn't remember how he got them or why he kept them. When confronted with a recording where he told his ghostwriter, "I just found all the classified stuff downstairs," Biden simply stated, "I don't remember."
The White House had previously refused to release these recordings, claiming they were protected "law enforcement materials" and that Republicans only wanted "to chop them up, distort them, and use them for partisan political purposes." In reality, they feared the American people hearing the unvarnished truth about their president's cognitive state.
The Wheelchair Presidency That Almost Was
Perhaps most shocking are the revelations from Tapper and Thompson's book that Biden's physical deterioration was so severe by 2023-2024 that his advisers privately discussed the possibility he would need to use a wheelchair if he won re-election.
According to the book, Biden's physician Kevin O'Connor "privately said that if he had another bad fall, a wheelchair might be necessary for what could be a difficult recovery." Yet Biden's team believed it was politically untenable to have him use a wheelchair during the campaign, so they implemented extraordinary measures to prevent falls, including shorter walking paths, handrails, sneakers, and detailed visual briefings before events.
O'Connor reportedly expressed concern about the toll the presidency was taking on Biden's health and "sometimes quipped that Biden's staff members were trying to kill him, while he was trying to keep him alive."
The book reveals that Biden's team publicly attributed his halting walk to a 2020 foot fracture, claiming he refused to consistently wear his walking boot. This directly contradicted O'Connor's public reports at the time, which stated that "both small fractures of his foot are completely healed" and that "this injury has healed as expected."
The Autopen Presidency: Who Was Really in Charge?
At the center of this controversy is the question of who was actually running the country while Biden's condition deteriorated. Critics have raised serious concerns about the use of an autopen, a mechanical device that replicates a person's signature, suggesting it allowed staff to sign documents without Biden's full knowledge or comprehension.
"I don't care about Joe Biden. He was sick. Ok," wrote one commentator on social media. "I care about the office of the White House Counsel. I care about every single cabinet Secretary. Every single aide. Every single member of his campaign. Jill Biden. And every other single person that covered up the fact that the president of the United States was a terminally ill this entire time. That is treason. He had the nuclear codes."
The implications are profound. If Biden was not fully capable of executing his duties, who was making critical decisions about national security, foreign policy, and domestic affairs? Was the autopen merely a symbol of a shadow presidency where unelected staffers wielded the actual power of the office?
The 2022 Cancer Claim: A Pattern of Deception
Adding another layer to this complex narrative is Biden's own statement from 2022, when he publicly claimed he "had cancer." This clip has resurfaced following the recent diagnosis, raising questions about whether the administration has been concealing his health condition for years.
If Biden did have cancer in 2022, why was this information withheld from the public? And if he didn't, why did he make such a claim? Either scenario points to a troubling pattern of deception regarding the president's health.
The Media's Complicity
Throughout Biden's presidency, mainstream media outlets largely dismissed concerns about his cognitive abilities as right-wing conspiracy theories. They downplayed his verbal gaffes, physical stumbles, and moments of confusion, instead portraying him as a seasoned statesman fully in command of his faculties.
When Hur's report described Biden as an elderly man with a poor memory, Vice President Harris called the characterization "gratuitous, inaccurate and inappropriate." The media largely echoed this sentiment, defending Biden's mental acuity despite mounting evidence to the contrary.
Only after Biden's disastrous debate performance against Trump in June 2024, when his cognitive issues became impossible to ignore, did the narrative begin to shift. Even then, many outlets framed the issue as a matter of age rather than acknowledging the possibility of more serious cognitive decline.
Now, with the release of the Hur recordings and the forthcoming book, some media figures are beginning to question the narrative they helped perpetuate. CNN's Brian Stelter described the timing of Biden's cancer announcement as "extraordinary," noting its proximity to the book release and the Hur recordings.
The Systemic Corruption Behind the Cover-Up
As DogeAI noted, "The real scandal isn't Biden's decline, it's the army of enablers who propped up a failing leader while taxpayer dollars flowed into their pockets." This perspective shifts focus from Biden himself to the system that maintained the illusion of his fitness for office.
The DogeAI account further alleged that Kevin O'Connor, Biden's personal physician, "wasn't just writing clean bills of health, he was knee-deep in the Americore hospital scheme that funneled cash to Biden's brother and Hunter." While these specific allegations require further investigation, they point to potential financial motivations behind the cover-up.
"This isn't just negligence, it's systemic corruption," the account continued. "Every aide, cabinet member, and insider who lied about Biden's capacity betrayed public trust to protect their grip on power."
The Debate Disaster and the Harris Substitution
The facade finally cracked during Biden's June 2024 debate with Trump, when millions of Americans witnessed a president struggling to complete coherent sentences and follow the thread of conversation. The performance was so disastrous that Democratic leaders, who had previously defended Biden's capabilities, began pushing for him to drop his re-election bid.
Three weeks later, Biden withdrew from the race and endorsed Vice President Harris, who would go on to lose to Trump in the general election. The timing suggests that party leaders knew Biden's condition was untenable but had been willing to conceal it until his public performance made that impossible.
Matt Walsh captured the sentiment of many critics: "This is the most cynical thing I've ever seen in American politics. It's astounding, truly. Biden has stage 4 cancer. There is no way in hell they just caught it now. They knew it, probably for years, and lied to the American people. And then they waited until two days before a book comes out about the cover up of his mental decline so that they could change the subject and quiet all criticism in the name of 'compassion' for a sick man. The whole thing is so transparent. These people are evil beyond words."
Demands for Transparency and Accountability
As the full extent of this cover-up comes to light, serious questions must be answered:
How long was Biden sick, and who knew about his condition?
Who was responsible for covering up Biden's impairments, and what were their motivations?
Who was actually using the autopen, and what decisions were made without Biden's full understanding?
What national security risks were created by having a cognitively impaired president in office?
The American people deserve complete transparency about what may be the biggest cover-up in American political history. Congressional investigations, independent counsel appointments, and full disclosure of medical records are necessary first steps toward accountability.
Conclusion: A Crisis of Trust
The Biden presidency will likely be remembered not for its policies or achievements, but for the unprecedented deception surrounding the president's fitness for office. The use of an autopen to maintain the illusion of presidential authority, the coordinated efforts to hide Biden's deteriorating condition, and the convenient timing of his cancer diagnosis all point to a systematic betrayal of public trust.
As one commentator put it, this isn't just treason in the legal sense, but "a masterclass in D.C.'s culture of impunity." The willingness of so many officials to participate in this deception raises profound questions about the health of American democracy and the integrity of its institutions.
The American people were told for years that Biden had never been sharper, only to discover that those closest to him knew he was in serious decline. They were assured he was fit for office, while his own doctor reportedly feared for his health. And they were asked to believe in the legitimacy of his presidency, while questions remain about who was actually making the decisions.
The full truth may take years to emerge, but one thing is already clear: the Biden administration's handling of the president's health represents a betrayal of public trust that will cast a long shadow over American politics for generations to come
.
I’ve been asking the whole time why we aren’t looking into the administration staffers who clearly were behind his auto pen bullshit. I want names. I want investigations. I want arrests and convictions!
Along with investigations, arrests, and convictions, I also think we should be looking at what legislation and judicial appointments can be overturned. If there is evidence beyond a reasonable doubt that Biden was not of sound mind, for however long a period, I would think there are a lot of judges who could be removed on that basis who were selected by Biden during that timeframe.
